I am so tired of it pooping out on a regular basis. My ISDN line was much more reliable and pretty much just as fast as the "super fast" DSL.

2. I Don't Have A Problem With My Bellsouth DSL
Then again, I live a block-and-a-half from the Central Office.

4. just the opposite with verizon. My ISDN line was horrid, but my DSL is
smooth running! Got a wireless router and am loving roaming around with my laptop. Would be in the backyard right now if it weren't pouring rain and cold cold cold.

5. I bet your close to the max distance for your speed
if your on the borderline for distance at your speed you will pop constantly. essentially guaranteed poor service. <-currently a DSL tech for someone else. TearForger

6. I'm not sure what you mean by distance.
My computer is just a few weeks old and I got one designed to handle all the heavy duty programs from work. I'll have to check on the speed.

7. Question about finding out the speed.
I have the system summary list. It lists memory and has processor information but does not give processor speed. What exactly am I looking for?

8. The Maximum Distance From Your Computer
To the Central Office at the telephone company that handles the switching and connections to your network. The further away you are, the slower it can be and the possibility of noise is introduced into the line degrading the signal.
