Poll question: Rainy days - like or dislike?
In the winter, I'd much rather prefer snow, and in the spring and summer, it often comes with thunderstorms. Of course I can get in a certain mood for them, but I generally do not like rainy days. Right now, I'm having my usual dislike for the over-an-inch rainfall we're getting here. At least this weekend is supposed to be great: over 70 and sunny.

Especially the cold and damp ones but we don't get them too much in FL.

3. I'm a Californio
so the breaking of a three-month 90+ streak is a cheerful welcome. And we don't have to see the continuous flare that turns the sky equally white (except the brown, hazy horizon from Santa Ana).

5. Love'em.
If I lived where it rained all the time, I might feel different.
They are a rare blessing here in the CA high desert. When weather does pass by, it is mostly wind; if clouds decide to drop rain, it often evaporates before it hits the ground. A rainy day is more rare than the regular cloudbursts; mostly when it rains here, it drops it all in 15 minutes and moves on, leaving us floating down the road.

So when it gets cool and dark, and the rain just falls...gently, and steadily, for a day, I feel blessed, cleansed, and refreshed.

The triple-digit temperatures for months at a time, the regular 20-30 mph winds, even when it is 110+, I can do without.

6. Coming from Vancouver, I have seen too much rain
and I very rarely like it. Victoria has way less rain than Van.

7. Yes, location has a lot to do with things
Also, droughts are bad, and I reluctantly will it to rain as much as it needs to to avoid them.

8. Love it
Everything is so clean after a good rain. The air smells fresh. Even before it rains too when a thunderstorm is coming. I like to sleep with the window cracked a bit at night so I can hear the rain falling.

9. Exactly. I love rainy days... and nights.
Especially since we've been living in Colorado. All these sunny days and the current drought really make me appreciate long rainy, foggy days.

10. Hmmm..
Tough One.

I mean I am totally enamored with lightning, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes for their sheer beauty although I don't want one dropping on my house... on the other hand there's some times in the Summer where a week of rain can fuck up a good day or two...

So I abstain. It's too hard of a vote. :)

11. Love, love love em
I live in California and it is a special time when we get rain. I think I could happily live in Seattle or somewhere that has a large amount of rain because I love the rain so much. :-)
