Oh my dear, dear, dear God!!!!
How awful was that spectacle! A man who is so filled with hubris, so over his head, so incapable! I was covering my eyes...I could not look...I wanted to leave the room but I felt I had to stay and watch...in my 58 years of life, this is the absolute worst...the worst! I think that this is hopeless unless the American people wake up and it doesn't seem like they will. So sad, so sad!

1. A horrifying spectacle indeed.
If this nonentity is not thrown bodily out of office in November, we are well and truly doomed. NO SANE PERSON can consider this POS to be anything but a horrendous embarrassment.

19. His fervor was scary
he believes he's on a mission from the almighty to save the world. I just thought of what the rest of the world would think listening to this. 'War is our mission to give the world freedom.' Really, we are not all like this, America is better than this.

21. Here you go
Mr. President, what would you have done differently?

"I wish you would have written this question ahead of time, so I could've planned for it."

~30 seconds~

"I'm sure something will pop into my head here."

6. It is sad...
I said this in GD and it bears repeating. One of the signs of being a "grown-up" is the ability to look at yourself in a critical way...to admit to your faults. Given his answers tonight whenever he was asked about "mistakes" or "things he would have done differently" it seems pretty obvious that he is either incapable or or unwilling to engage in that kind of self-reflection. The hubris involved in believeing you are always right is staggering...and quite adolescent (no offense meant to the adolescent DUers who have almost always shown more maturity than the pretzeldent).

I have to say though that I'm quite proud of myself...I made it all the way to the end without putting something through my tv screen.

10. agreed...it was horrifying
I didn't know if I should be more repulsed or frightened. I mean, this clearly incompetent boob is the President of the United States, no matter how he got there.

Surely even his supporters must be having second thoughts.

12. For those folks who mercifully missed this...
at first I thought he was drunk or under the influence of something. He got a little better as the spectacle went on. Here are the main points that I took from this:

The new Saddam is Al Sadah (sp?). so now we have someone else to chase...

Being in Iraq is "required by our interests" hell knows what that means...oil?

Then he appealed to women, the jews, christians...he touched all the political bases.

He ended by appealing to everyone's allegiance to the poor kids who have been sent to Iraq. Basically, don't criticize me or you are disloyal to our troops. (That is an old song...I remember that during the Vietnam War).

There was much more...there is a transcript on GD...but I just can't stand to relive it again!

17. I noticed a new word in his vocabulary...
"Soverty."

"The goal on June 30 is to hand over Soverty to the people of Iraq."

This word is added to "turrism," "nukular," and "amerca."

Looks like he's already given Shifty Sharon, "that man of Peace", the green light to keep those BIG settlements.

*roap map* is just another snappy term that means... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

13. It was like...
the one time I watched the Osbournes. You just sit there with this disgusted look on your face, but you can't look away.

I just kept thinking, do the Republican voters see what I see? Will my Mom finally see him for what he is? Or is there really some kind of vail over there eyes? Is it like cataracts?

Surely if any one with the least bit of sense watched the spectacle that I watched tonight, they would never ever vote for this man again, and quite likely would never vote Repub again.

20. My wife and I would ask LIHOP questions and talked over his criminal
vagueness with the known facts, this could, and should have been prevented, it was allowed to happen, why does this conform to PNAC?

Investigations and intelligence from all over were sounding the alarms, why did Bush have SAM battery and sleep on a US Navy ship during the G-8 meeting in July 2001, why did Ashcroft stop flying commercial then, and here is something deeply disturbing because it happened right after 9/11-why did Tommy Thompson began Cipro distribution well in advance of anthrax attacks, also why did Tommy Thompson hire SAIC'S Jerome Hauer on 9-10-2001?????

27. The Fortean Times, a couple months ago
had a huge section of that month devoted to LIHOP,
if you don't read it it's well worthwhile checking their articles.

Sad thing is, it'll ALWAYS be looked upon as a 'Fortean subject' just because it's just so impossible to actually believe anyone could be so care-less and evil.

35. MJP, can I ask you a personal question?
Did you vote for him in 2000?

I did and I am so ashamed of myself. I switched from a reluctant Republican to Democrat in 2002, after I finally realized what a heinous ass resides in our White House.
