3. I read the whole series. I loved it. I refuse to see a movie
when I've read the book. My imagination is always better than the folks that do the movies. Of course, my imagination isn't limited to 1 hour and 40 minutes either.

5. It stars Will Smith
Therefore by nature making it pathetic. I'm wretched at their attempt to destroy my favorite book by Asimov. They made Dr. Susan Calvin a sexpot, for god's sake! The actress playing her starred in Coyote Ugly! Have they no shame?!?!

How sad, particularly from the man who made The Crow & Dark City. I hope he enjoyed selling his soul for a giant budget and a big name star.

7. Asimov must be turning over in his grave
As a teenaged fan in the late 30's, he used to write letters to the science fiction magazines complaining about the sexed-up women on the covers and in the stories. When he became a writer himself, he very deliberately created a female character who was plain and middle-aged but highly intelligent.

Beyond that, the plot description sounds more like "Caves of Steel" than like "I, Robot" -- a humanoid robot who might or might not have committed murder, rather than the highly philosophical considerations of the implications of the laws of robotics that Asimov was pursuing in the earlier stories.

Sad, sad, sad.
