Poll question: Once and for all, DU's opinion of ABBA
I was going to make it a simple yes or no poll, but then started rolling. Try to keep this kicked for a while; I actually put a little effort into it (and am curious about the result)

1. Great pop music
Seriously, their last two albums are very good, melodic and at times sad. Like Fleetwood Mac, the relationships of the two couples began to crumble in the late 1970s, and it's reflected in the music of those last two albums.

3. LOVE THEM
I have the four CD set of their greatest hits and never released music. One of my favorite movie lines happened in "Muriel's Wedding" where Muriel says, "finally my life is as good as an ABBA song. My life is as good as Dancing Queen." Well, its something like that.

11. My familiy loves Muriel's Wedding
we always recommend it to people. Very offbeat movie. Love the ABBA performances with Muriel and "Brenda" of Six Feet Under. Good old Porpoise Spit. You can't stop progress.

4. We were talking about ABBA yesterday on the way home from the shelter...
Paul told me that he read an article recently that said ABBA still makes $35,000 a day in record sales.

13. They sponsored a Formula 1 team in 1981 -- ATS
Pilot was Slim Borgudd -- former ABBA drummer (for a few studio sessions at least). Is that cool or what?

14. I have an Abba..
CD in my alarm radio/Cd player and wake up to "Dancing Queen" every morning. They are fabulous to say the least. :toast:
