Well, she's not REALLY her sister (that we know of)...

This is my Misty

This is Lily (who was found all matted and with burrs hence the strange haircut)

2. That was my guess, too...
She's a very sweet dog. (Both of them are!) She wanted her belly rubbed a lot and wanted to be cuddled. I sure hope that her family comes looking for her or she finds a new one that will give her lots of love.

3. Lily looks extremely happy and well adjusted for a dog . . .
who was matted and full of burs. . . she must have one hell of a personality :)

5. Very shy. Very sweet. Very submissive.
She barked at Misty and I looked at her and said, "Whatchoo doin' barkin' at my dog?" and she cowered and went into the doghouse until I apologized and called her back over.

4. Belgian Shepard
A long time ago, in a place far far away (Belgium), the German Shepard (aka Alsation) was so interbred with collies that a new breed was recognised. They have the colouring of an Alsation but the temperament of a collie, plus a much fluffier coat.

Both look, to me, like Belgians, possibly with something else added.

6. Wow! Thank you!
I never would have come up with that combination. Thanks for the information. I'll have to check that out.

8. Oh my God! I just want to wrap her up and take her home. I wish
I still lived in WI. Her face reminds me so of my Sheltie Jessie's. And Misty looks so sweet and noble. How did you manage to walk away from that Will?? Thanks for sharing. :hi:

9. I didn't manage to 'walk' away...
I was dragged, kicking and screaming...

Actually, Misty was with us at the time. They seemed to get along OK. The problem is we have a 675 square foot house. 2 dogs, 4 cats, 1 rabbit and a Paul.

I could get rid of the Paul if necessary but I don't think there is enough room for Lily even after he's gone.

10. Bye Paul...
Just teasing. But I am sure someone else is not going to be able to resist that face. It's such a self deprecating, love me please little smile. I get all teary eyed.

:hi:

11. She was a doll!
She rolled over for a belly rub. She wasn't aggressive in the least. She just wanted to make someone happy.

Misty followed me home from the bus stop years ago. When I saw Lily it was like someone abandoned Misty again. I felt REALLY sick to my stomach.

12. Misty is so beautiful
and I would take Lily in a minute. Heck, I would take every dog. I have two now (both one year old)and from local shelters. An Australian Cattle Dog (Murphy) and a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard (Cindy).

I can't go near a shelter without wanting to bring them all home :-).

17. I know the feeling!
I helped to get Basil adopted by someone in Utah. If I had a bigger place in the country I'd have more.

Lily, though, reminds me so much of Misty when I got her that she's another one that has to go to someone who'd love her a lot because she surely looks like she needs it.

14. I want her!!!!
I'd take good care of her, and brush her, and rub her belly, and walk her, and sing to her, and play "sock" with her, and share my food w/ her.

16. Wish I could
Landlord doesn't allow dogs.

Maybe someday I'll have my own place where I can do whatever I want.
