I spent middle and high schools surrounded by ignorant, mean-spirited white-trash losers, who all considered my existence on this planet was an affont to them. I only hope those jerk-offs got what they deserved--a low-paying shit job, a hovel of an apartment, and a loveless marriage with a couple of screaming, bratty kids.

32. that's well, but i've never felt young
so I dont have much to lose. the only indication of my YOUTH is a low tolerance for alcohol, an inexplicable attraction to older women, and the way i always seem to have something to prove, in spite of the fact that i am too apathetic to attempt to prove anything. oh yes, and an idiotically cynical worldview.

yep.

I have this ridiculous habit of saying "I'll be ___" (whatever the next age is). Can't I just say my current age and leave it alone? NO! So, in keeping with my pattern, I will be 42 on August 27th (at 5:12 p.m. CDT, to be precise).

41. I believe 180 is older than anyone who's posted so far, but there's a
less frequent poster who is like, 10 years older than him....you'd be surprised how many ancients frequent this place. Kinda makes you wonder about commonalities amongst them, were they a particularly odd bunch back in their youth (which for most was in the 40's).

45. Youth is wasted on the young.
I'm starting over.
Just imagine, being 12 years old knowing what you do now, what would you do with your life? Would you finally have the nerve to ask Rolanda Schmidt out to the Halloween dance? Would you have cracked the books more often? Or less? Would you backpack across Europe or start your own business?
I have such a different perspective on life now. I now realize that I'm not the dweeb everyone probably considered me to be.
They were.

And I seriously don't feel anywhere near 30 yet. Other than the recovery curve for hangovers having gotten noticably loooonger in recent years, and a tendency to put on weight a little more easily (grrrrr), I'm not feeling my age nearly as much as an alarming number of my peers seem to be - some of 'em are sweating it, which I just don't get.
