I got stoned tonight courtesy of the RCMP....

I was at a drug lecture, you know the "What to look for to see if your kid is using drugs" kinda thing. Well, the cops brought samples of dope, I was in the front row about three feet from the cop, and he pulls out a baggie of about 2 ounces and opens it for the people to smell the smell. THEN, out of a garbage bag he pulls out a huge friggin dope plant that was siezed yesterday, he was holding it and talking for about five minutes.
Near the end I noticed my eyes got kinda heavy and I started feeling stoned. .... then the idea of the cops getting me stoned came to mind and I started to giggle. I tried to hide it as best I could, then I notice the TOWN'S PASTOR beside me was giggling as well........We were getting cooked!

ANyway I did my best to compose myself then in about ten minutes or so, it went away.

Typical Marijuanna scare tactics though...including a video that spoke about dope, but when ever they showed extremely harmful effects they refered to them as "result of drugs" then they'd quietly switch back to dope, sneaky eh?

You got stoned just sitting in the presence of weed? Not by smoking or ingestion? I don't get it. You can't ingest THC just by sitting around and smelling the plant. THC doesn't just go airborne like that, it has to be released from the plant through chemical reaction.

That sounds like the mythical "contact high", I don't buy it. You can stuff my face in a bail of weed and not get high. The smell doesn't carry THC, it's probably just a psych high like the kind you get when you eat a bunch of jello believing it's jello shots.

Don't mean to be a flatliner about it, it just sounds kinda silly. No offence, if you're a little high just sit back, turn on some pink floyd Dark Side of the Moon and enjoy it.

You can say that all you want, fact is, I felt a little stoned sitting next to it.

Fumes would be more like it. If you can get high sniffing glue, you can get high sniffing dope.

When I was in the Boy Scouts in the fifth grade or so (back in the early 1980's), there was one of those anti-drug programs for our troop.

The local police chief came in with about a few oz of weed, put it in a big ashtray kind of thing and set the whole thing on fire and let it smolder, filling the room with smoke. The whole troop went in a line past it to put their nose over the weed and get a whiff, 'so we'd all know what it smelled like'.

Heh, the whole room got a little stoned that night.

Then the Principal of the school (were the meeting was held) said "Yeah, I've got some in my desk, and some roaches too" It sounded so funny, but I guess he had confinscated some that day.

The cop wanted to light one just so the parents knew the smell.

If you don't watch out it'll lead to anti-pill presentations, anti-cocaine presentations, and anti-heroin presentations! :P
