How do you call this? (Hurts like hell)
It begins as a tiny wound inside your cheek, on your gum or on your tongue, then it develops into a white circle, it hurts a LOT! And then it goes away after a few days.

20. I think there's an Italian softdrink called SHIT
named after the sound a can makes when you open it. It isn't Cola, oddly enough.

25. A deodorant named 'Wart'? I love it!
I'll buy it and use it.

How about an aftershave named 'feces'? (I'm not worried, because I don't use an aftershave.)

6. Yup, canker sore.
I hate those.

Anbesol on a q-tip, applied for several minutes works best. That, and several daily rinsings with antiseptic mouthwash.

13. I have them since I was a kid.
I can't even pronounce the word "pineapple". Every time I bite myself it turns into a canker sore. Always. The one I have now is on the tip of my tongue.

22. Ouch.
I have always gotten them frequently as well. Those at the tip of the tongue and the ones in the soft tissue under the tongue are the worst out there.

12. My remedy for canker sores...
As soon as you feel a canker sore coming on, sprinkle salt a generous amount of salt on the wound about 3 or more times per day. Repeated application of salt seems to shorten the life span of a canker sore. The important thing is to use the salt treatment early when the canker sore is first starting. Using salt on a full blown canker sore will hurt like hell.

Why it works, I don't know. Then again, no one seems to know for sure what causes canker sores anyway, so go figure.

15. Applying salt sucks the fluid out of the cells.
Maybe it sucks the virus out along with it.

17. Another way to remedy
Brush your teeth one extra time a day and rinse with mouthwash. I think alot of the times canker sores are from the germs that build up in your mouth.

19. I get them if I bite my cheek or lip too hard
Listerine, early and often, is the best way to take care of them. Gotta kill the germs in the hole as best you can, or the sore will last as long as 10 days or so.

24. Lysine
Tablets you can buy in the vitamin section. If you start taking them immediately on onset, this cuts the healing time by more than one-half. It also helps on the full blown sores, but not as fast.

Good luck.

26. MILK!
my brother dentist told me this a long time ago and it works.

Put some milk in your mouth and just hold it there for as long as you want. It soothes the pain and speeds the healing up.

People always think I'm nuts when I tell them this, but it really works
