That's great news. Now we can start making inroads into conservative markets. I had no idea they had the financial ability to pull this off.

12. Heh Heh. CHL is going up against WPTF
the neocon talkathon over in Raleigh. PTF used to be a nice community station like CHL before the neocons took it over. They even had a really cute local program for many years called "Ask Your Neighbor." It was a combination Ebay, swap meet, recipe trading center. You could also advertise your services too.

Oh well. It'll be fun to see Al versus Rush! :bounce:

17. Still On?
Wow! I thought AYN went the way of the dinosaur before I left for college years ago.

I remember AYN fondly, because it was Grandma's favorite program. I associate it with spending time with her.

I stopped listening to WPTF when WQDR went on the air in oh 69 or 70. And it was an Album-Oriented Rock station then!

15. I don't think they'll ever bring it to Fargo-Moorhead.
Even though we're a larger market than a lot of the towns in the AA Radio Network.

I usually don't have a lot of computer time and access during the day when it's live. If I had a better radio, perhaps I could pick up the one in NYC, but alas, I don't. :(

29. Hooray--our first toehold in the South, you all!
And may they have many more!

Is this the same station that turned them down because they didn't want to give up their local programming? Either they got a counteroffer they couldn't refuse, or they saw the response (AND the ad revenue potential), and changed their minds!

30. Yes, same station
I guess AA changed their minds about syndication as opposed to selling the entire schedule.

I'm sure the station will think twice about adding more, like Rhandi, once they see how popular it is.

boat as Skooooo. Even though I'm in the triangle, I'm too far away to pick up 1360 AM out of Chapel Hill. So I'm relegated to the internet for AA. (unfortunately I'm still on dial-up and have to compete with the kids for internet time )

But if you click on the link for the full station list at the top of the Air America web page, it shows a list of stations and affiliates "coming soon". This list includes Dish Network.

That would great !!! :bounce: If I could get it on Dish Network on one of the audio channels, I could listen all the time !!!
