I hate kittie cats...there, I said it, and I'm glad......

flame me, hell, phlegm me, i don't care, a man's entitled to his opinion still, unless i woke up in red communist china this morning.

i'm ready for the attacks from kittie lovers, 'how could you say such an awful thing?' 'you must be the meanest man in the world', etc. piffle and twattle.

kittens are right next to slugs in my book. the constant mewing and purring, the ceaseless bouncing off the walls and knocking shit over, the neverending skittering and adorable tricks instinctively designed to trigger your cuteness response so you don't crush them with a rock. i hate em.

they're always underfoot, tripping you, and attacking your toes at 4 a.m. when you get up to take a wizz. then, when you snatch them up to dash them into the wall in a rage, they look at you with those big, sad eyes, and you stop yourself from doing what needs done.

and they lull you into a false sense of security and well being with their velvety fur and their calming touch. then they play with your head by rubbing up against your ankles pretending they like you when all they really want is to be fed or stroked. hell, if you fell down and couldn't get up to feed them, they'd eat you.

and they get hair all over everything, and they produce the grossest thing known to all living creatures, the hairball. and they use your back as a take off ramp to the ceiling, leaving tiny painful slashes up your spine. not to mention jumping right into the middle of your mashed potatos and gravy and spilling whiskey all over your mother.

they make millions off mouse traps, why don't they make one for kittens?

Although some might like the challenge.

I was away from the computer for a moment, and the cats read your post. They are, as we speak, holding a council of war to decide their response. I caution you to be careful, these cats mean business. They have no claws, but have been known to pummel small insects to death with their paws nonetheless. The coup de grace is usually accomplished with a slow blink from the big green Pooky eyes, followed by a prolonged Tootsie Puuuurrrrrrrr. Ghastly.

They asked me if your cats would consider a coalition force. I think they have already contacted the U.N. and Kofi Annan said "Go for it!"

I have a cat that has adopted me ... his name is Khaki. He is my neighbors - I feed him as a truce for him to leave my birds alone. Now he owns me. I know what you mean about cats though - not very fond of them compared to dogs - but you know - the little bastards do grow on you.

Also the cats attack your feet and annoy you when they know you hate them. If you liked them, they would be nicer.
