Overheard at the Crash Test Dummies Show Saturday...
Yep, the "mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm" guys are still around--kinda. It's just 3 guys, brad "froggy" roberts and his brother on acoustic guitar and bass, with some young guy playing acoustic lead. No drums, no Ellen Reid. Still, okay show. Brad introduced a new son about religion with a long story (sorry, had a couple drinks, don't remember the whole thing) that culminated in "So Jesus wouldn't have to hang up there on that cross, like he did in that stupid Mel Gibson movie, for no reason whatsoever." This from the Canuck who once wrote:

"So God said 'Once there was a boy who woke up with blue hair,
to him it was a joy,
til he ran out in the warm air,
he thought about his friends who'd come to see
would they laugh? or had he caught some strange disease?"

(to which the people respond)

"...Not quite clear about what you just spoke
was that a parable or a very subtle joke?"
