1. Suggestion

See if you can find that dreadful passage from O'Reilly's fiction book. Franken quotes it in his book. Add Newt Gingrich's "athwart my chest" passage from his novel. Cite those as passages the reader would obviously love.

Clearly an e-mail from someone who knows NOTHING about the business of writing. It's all about being published. You have to build up a portfolio of published pieces, of course, to be considered for any writing gigs that actually pay money.

If that's all that was there, then that's not too bad. At least there wasn't any curse words, especially mispelled curse words, or terms like "commie".
