What do you listen to at work?
Nothing?

Internet stream? Station?

CDs? Flavor?

Radio?

I'm one of those people who requires crushingly loud music in order to be really creative. Softer music will usually do for ordinary workday stuff.

Sports Talk 1260 in D.C.
This enables me to get Tony Bruno in the morning instead of Mike & Mike (on Sports Talk 980).

I can't keep Air America up (I suspect the conservatives in our sysadmin office), and I won't listen to the right wing drivel, so sports it is.

7. My station
I work at a radio station. When I was interviewing potential assistants a few years ago one of them said "I don't think I can work with that radio playing all the time." I just stared at her and then said "You do realize, don't you, that this is a radio station. You have to have it on."

She didn't get the job.

8. KFOG from San Francisco,
Air America, or Spinner.com.

Dallas radio sucks.

Network people probably don't like it, but it keeps me sane.

I try to make the office festive with holiday music, and they have many stations to choose from.

Otherwise, I stream WFUV or WWOZ.

19. Nothing because they gave me a bad computer
When I had my first work computer, I played my cds all the time. Then it died. Since my company is cheap, they bought a used computer from the accountant, which doesn't play cds. That makes me unhappy because music helps relax and ground me when I might be having anxiety at work.

27. Sometimes CDs
But now that I finally remembered to bring in headphones, I listen to WBUR (Boston public radio, which for some reason I can't get on my office radio even though I work 30 miles from Boston) on my computer in the morning and Al Franken in the afternoon.

If I don't remember to put something on, all I end up listening to are complaining professors and their whiny students.
