My "Rock Against Bush" CD just came!
The mailman just delivered it....comes with a "Rock Against Bush" bumper sticker too.

Lets see what these bands sound like (most are unfamiliar to me).

3. some indy outfit..."Fat Wreck Records"
Their catalogue/comic book came along with the CD.

Lets see...here are some names I do recognize:

Ministry
Jello Biafra
Social Distortion
Less Than Jake(?) Billy Bragg (!) (looks like "featuring Billy Bragg"...this is the last cut)

...out of 26 tracks.

Im usually not a punk/hardcore/indy fan, so this is fairly new stuff for me too.

4. Less Than jake is ska
they are kind of fun and have been around for about 10 years?

Billy Bragg has also been around a long time, wonderful stuff. He is very political and has two great complilations with Wilco of Woody Guthrie lyrics that they put to music, Mermaid Ave. Vols. 1 and 2. Worth checking out.

I used to play in a post-punk band and lately I am just in the mood for this stuff. Loud, fast, melodic and political.

6. are you down in Southern Ohio
I remember sending for a brochure about cabins in that area. Your handle sounds familiar. We wanted to go and see some mounds in that area, but haven't as yet.

Billy Bragg is really popular in my house. Ska is a lot of fun.
