Ahh, we had a tornado drill today.

Each school in Michigan has to have two per year. Eight fire drills are also required.

I hate fire drills and tornado drills. I mean, they're a good safety measure, but...

I don't know, I just don't like them. I guess it's just the sound of the fire alarm that gets me. (They ring thge fire alarm at intervals to signa a tornado drill.)

But we have one more out of the way.

5. I assigned one of the members of my team

to provide me with a tornado drill plan for the department a few months ago. I asked that she come up with a way for us to make it to the building's basement in the most organized way possible, and an easy way to make a quick head-count. After several hours of work, she came to me for some assistance.

It was then that I told her that we don't have a basement. It was fun watching her stroll around the building looking for it, though.
