It has started to consume to much time. 5 wasted hours today. Is it cool to charge the family? I don't want to, but they act like they deserve free tech support. These old ladies opening every e-mail attachment are cutting into my drinking time.
my bro is a com. sci. B.S., yet since he has a family he doesn't get bugged with all the pleas for help.
I wish i just went with my gut and tell my folks to just "get a Mac and don't look back." it's not like they need options. they just need a machine that is simple and reliable.
when they go buy a laptop i'm going to insist they get a powerbook.
3. Not only tech support but e mail debunking as well....
My mom is good for sending e mails out about various subjects such as the Pepsi/Pledge hoax. She thinks they are true.
Yesterday she sent one out and I responded to her that anytime I suspect something has the peculiar order of the right-wing, I go to snopes.com and do a keyword search to see if it is true. Most of the time it is not true.
