Just wondering, because everyone else likes Barry (it's Saturday night and I'm listening to a radio station's 70's Saturday night, if you're wondering where this came from)!

1. Only in this regard
Why do you even have one? :)

(Not that they weren't great 60's/70's AM stars - it's just like someone having a favorite member of, I don't know, Three Dog Night) :)

but sadly, not much else.

19. It was the red felt that got me...
..gave me some tactile stimulation while I was stoned. You couldn't roll joints on it, though. I liked "Melody Fair," "Edison," and "Marley Purt Drive."

It was horribly over-produced and I guess it was their attempt at a Sgt. Pepper-type theme album.

20. Yep, that it was

Ranked up there with the Stone's "Satanic Majesties Request" as an "oops, guess only The Beatles can do that, huh?" LP.

As an historical aside, I found "Wheels Of Fire" to be particularly helpful when rolling, due to its foil-like cover. :)

7. Three Dog Night, that's
a great group! And there's so much more to the Bee Gees than just their disco/Saturday Night Fever stuff, a LOT more!!!

18. Preachin' to the choir, kiddo

"New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Massachusetts", "To Love Somebody" - I could go on. Remember, I'm old enough enough to remember this stuff for real. <creaks away to look for prunes>

3. Who is one favorite BeeGee?
Or, for that matter Who is one's favorite disco star? is clearly a true/false question to which the only possible answer is false.

27. He didn't.
He died from a heart condition most likely brought on by years of drug abuse. :(

Yes I have to admit it. Never was a big Barry fan and when he started doing all the vocals I stopped listening.

Barry always got on my nerves a little, not sure what it was but he just did and still does. But, again, there's just something about Robin I always liked, both then and now.

17. Yep,
same here. Ok so I had a big crush on Robin back in the mid 70's. ;) Not something I admit to very many people.

Their last couple of cd's weren't bad since the work was more evenly distributed. Even Maurice got some time in.

28. I like Robin too.
Here is my favorite sung by him:

I Started A Joke
(Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb)

I started a joke, which started the whole world crying
But I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me

'Til I finally died, which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was one me
Oh no, that the joke was on me

from Idea (1968)

To those that think "disco" when you think of the Bee Gees, you have a lot to learn. The disco era was just a piece of what the Bee Gees are all about.
