1. Harkonen
Cheney's the fat Baron and GW's his dim witted son...

2. House Corrino - with Cheney as Count Fenring.
They don't have the vulgarity of the Harkonnens.

3. Well
Only way it'd work is if the chimp was Rabban... No one to compare him to in House Corrino.

4. all the classless greediness and lack of tact of House Harkonnen
though still, I have to say, it seems insulting to compare house harkonnen to these assmunches. At least the Baron and Feyd were actually pretty smart and savvy - not savvy enough, but pretty savvy.

I think what the US is like now is simply Rabban, with some of the idiotic greed and hubris of the Baron.

5. I will probably be the only one to argue Corrino
The whole seige of Iraq was much like the stealing of the sandworm from Children of Dune, knowing full well that Arakis would soon be inhospitable to sandworms...and they would have the monopoly

6. Sadly, I'd agree ...
* is definately more of a Baron Harkonnen type, but the vast-right-wing-conspiracy thing smacks of Corrinno behind-the-scenes style.

Back in 2000 I truly believed that Cheney was chosen (by himself, no less) as VP because they planned to have * assassinated. I guess i over-estimated *'s character--they didn't need to kill him, since he was their puppet all along.
