1. Join the club
I've got my second spring cold in a row.

What do you take for it?

I can't take anti-histamines because they dry my nasal passages out and they promptly haemorage. One time it put me in the hospital.

3. Ever try a neti pot (sinus cleansing)?
a neti pot is a small vessel in which one puts warm salt water, and which has a nice spout from which then pours that saline solution through one's nasal passages.

I started using one last year and it both (mostly) cured my snoring problem, and also helps me breathe much better through my nose (and also cleans out all the shit that NYC air has that my nose filters out).

I was amazed after the first time I used it, and especially after a week's worth of usage. I breath better, I sound better, and it helps with the allergies, and it also helps keeps the nose lubricated and moist, especially during our NYC very dry winters made drier by the radiator heat I have.

It looks kind of gross, but it totally isn't. I often do mine while in the shower.

4. Turmeric
Find a reliable brand (like Solaray) and take it religiously. I had the worst allergies in the world and they have improved to the point that every now an then they bother me enough that I'll take a Zyrtec.
