So I took the plunge on an iPod

Bought myself a 40 gb Ipod yesterday with mostly money I got from selling some old stuff (vinyl in particular) on eBay.

After some initial blips in getting it set up and in synch with my iTunes, this thing is phenomenal.

The only downside is I have 45 gbs of music on my computer so I have to choose what to leave out. Which is absurd since I should be able to whittle it down to 10,000 songs I want on me at all times. But still the thing is great so far.

I bit the bullet on the 20GB model, and I still have 2/3 left to fill (after putting all of my music on it). :(

2. I just love being able to hit shuffle....

and hear any one of thousands of songs that I own. It allows for some very odd segueues(sp?) but that's the beauty of it.
