Kudos to Jack .................In The Box
Edited on Sun May-02-04 11:17 PM by Dover
Okay, let me just say I never......NEVER eat fast food. I'm not kidding.

So I meet a friend of mine for lunch at a park today and he brings these wonderful gourmet sandwiches to have with apples and wine. One sandwich was on a nice bread/deli roll with RIPE chopped tomatoes and basil, melted cheese, lettuce and grilled chicken. The other was turkey, cheese and some dried tomato sauce on a baggette.
They were wonderful!
He's a good cook so I thought perhaps he just whipped these up himself. So I complimented him on them.
He started laughing really hard, and after tickle-torturing him he told me they were from JACK IN THE BOX!!! Needless to say I thought he was kidding me because he knew how I hated fast food, and I tortured him some more to get at the truth. Still unconvinced he actually TOOK me to the J-I-T-B where he bought them.

Wonders never cease. Hats off to you Jack!

1. They've come a long way since they served horsemeat
Sometime in the seventies they were caught using horsemeat in their burgers. A San Francisco radio dj started referring to them as "Nag in the Bag".

3. I guess so. It's been almost that long since I've had fast food, so you
can imagine my shock!

I won't be eating fastfood any time soon, but if I get in a pinch I could live with eating one of those sandwiches (NO fries, thanks).

4. I love Jack!!!
My local Jack in the Box has the BEST customer service of ANY fast food place!!! I called their 1-800 number to tell them how great the morning shift is. I go there every morning for a large diet Coke on my way to work (not a coffee drinker), and those girls are SO cheerful! They really help me wake up everyday, with a joke or a compliment. I am literally amazed at the enthusiasm they put into what is such an UN-glamorous job. So, I called the 800 number, and also called the local manager, and then got them gift certificates for Christmas.

Oh, and yeah, their food is really good for fast food too! :-)

5. jack
does tolerable onion rings, and my dirty secret is the regular tacos- I can eat too many, especially if they aren't too full of whatever that meat substance is and have nice crispy edges.
