I just had the scariest nightmare...

I dreamed that my mom died for some reason or another, and then next I was dead. I saw that people were gathered around me and crying. I couldn't see anyone's faces, but I saw everything else.

I then woke up in a panic, and I felt really weird. My body felt numb. My pulse seemed weak (it's normal now). I was taking many tiny breaths...it felt like I wasn't even breathing. I shouldn't be experiencing anxiety since I'm on medication for that, but it took me a 1/2 hour to calm down.

Does anyone know what the dream could mean? It's freaking me out. :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

1. Do a thorough medical checkup... just in case.

It may have been nothing, or your body may be warning you of some dangerous condition. Go to a doctor.

6. In that case, it seems a safe bet it's all about the anxiety.

Maybe you could do an EEG if this starts repeating?

My 8yo daughter has nocturnal terror -- once a month or so she gets up in the middle of the night crying for mommy, seemingly unable to percieve reality around her. Then she falls down again and next morning she remembers nothing. We took her to a neurologist (or rather, her grandma took her for us -- she rocks) and we should be seeing the result of the exams shortly.

8. I think I have that nocturnal terror...

That's when my anxiety is the worst...whenever I try sleeping at night. I have all these weird thoughts and stuff.

That and I had pop that had caffine in it last night...I knew that causes anxiety, but I drank it anyways. :shrug:

3. Has your mother been sick recently?

If so, it could mean that you're worried about losing her and feeling that you can't survive if anything happens to her. :shrug:

I had a somewhat similar dream quite a few years ago, only it was my daughter, who was four years old at the time, in your mothers place. She's 14 now, if that makes you feel any better. :)

that my dad turned into a wearwolf and I had to shoot him.

That freaked me out for a while. i had to go downstairs and apologize to my dad for shooting him.

He was quite confused.
