10 Completely Random Tunes #1... Like 'em or Hate 'em?
Edited on Mon May-03-04 03:01 PM by a_random_joel
Why is this valuable? Have you ever cruised VH1 Classic, or Satellite radio, and heard a song, and said, "Holy Crap... I forgot all about that song!" It happens to me all the time. That is why this is important.

Here are 10 completely random songs.

Do you like them, dislike them, or never heard them.

1. Magazine 60 - Don Quichotte

2. Material Issue - Valerie Loves Me

3. Minnie Riperton - Loving You

4. The Ides Of March - Vehicle

5. King - Love and Pride

6. The Outfield - (I Don't Want to Lose) Your Love

7. The Alan Parsons Project - Time

8. The Pharcyde - Passing me by

9. Camouflage - Love is a shield

10. The Beastie Boys - Paul Revere

13. I like rock, hard rock, metal, some rap/hiphop, and very little pop.
I mostly listen to tunes by: Ill Nino, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Adema, Audioslave, Bush, Cold, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Deftones, Eminem, Filter, Finger Eleven, Fuel, Godsmack, Goo Goo Dolls, Hoobastank, Incubus, Matchbox Twenty, Metallica, Nickelback, Nirvana, REM, Rob Zombie, Saliva, Seether, Sevendust, Staind, Static X, Stone Temple Pilots, System Of A Down, U2, Weezer...that's pretty much it. Oh, and I do listen to some dance music by Paul Oakenfold.

3. most of those I don't even know!
But number six never fails to induce a mindless rage in me. :) J/K, but seriously, I hate it. Really. A lot.

Oh and I would expect number 10 to be good. :)

Now I like it for some crazy nostalgic reason.

I still hate it!

Oh, but I remembered the Alan Parsons song. Like that. But I like some of his other stuff better. :)

Love it. Great horns.

On edit: There's a girl, soul group who does a song by the title of Don't Want to Lose Your Love. Is that what you're referring to? I love that song, too. A bit over-arranged, but that's my musical guilty pleasure, over-arranged soul with classical strings. Slap me.

Love the Beasties, but even they have apologized for much of the sexism of their first album. This song is, sadly, a prime example.

14. I want to shove a flaming hot poker in my ear when I hear Magazine 60...

I worked at a record store in 86 when that song was all over the dance floors, and had to hear the freaking thing 10-20 times a DAY!

For those of you who think you don't remember it, it starts out with this annoying dubbed female voice going, "N-n-n-n-nooo senor."

Ring any bells now?

16. I was heavily into music, but I only know two of these.
I love "Vehicle" and the Minnie Riperton song, the rest are drawing a blank. Of course they might just be songs that I've had the good fortune to have forgotten about.
