4. Actually, we were more hi-tech...

We took the transformer out of a BIG neon sign. 25k volts. We grounded one side then built a wooden wand to hold the other conductor. When you brought it down on the art, it was VAPORIZED!

8. I had a lens 9 inches in diameter that could take out 5 ants at a time.

Then suddenly one day I started feeling sorry for the ants and I couldn't bring myself to harm them any more. I was 5 or 6 and I've been a softie ever since.

It's a rite of passage for little boys. When I introduce my boys to it, I'll make sure I give them eye protection. That little bright spot created by the Texas sun burnt little distortions into my vision that I can still see a bit.
