Flunk A Drug Test? Blame Your Suntan Lotion
<snip>

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Fail a drug test? Blame the suntan lotion.

Officials at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico are warning against tanning products that contain hemp oil. Hemp comes from the marijuana plant and may contain trace amounts of THC, the stuff that gives pot its high.

While the suntan oils won't get anyone stoned, base officials say the hemp byproducts could be enough to cause someone to flunk a drug test.

2. I find this difficult to believe...
Do they actually use oil from Cannabis Sativa or C. Indica to make the shit?

I would've thought they would use oil from "industrial hemp" which contains no THC to begin with.

Looks like a job for the MythBusters...

3. This doesn't surprise me
About twice a year, every year, that I was in the service someone at Headquarters, Department of the Army, would send an All Army Activities message about the Blue Star Tattoos.

For those who don't follow urban legends, some real creeps out there are supposed to be selling temporary tattoos of blue stars with LSD impregnated into the ink. And naturally, when we did our health-and-welfare inspections, we were supposed to be especially vigilant for blue star temporary tattoos.

Of course we all knew it was bullshit, but someone at DA was so concerned for the welfare of our soldiers that they made sure all the leaders knew to check their rooms for blue star tattoos.

You naturally know what's coming: the day after one of those messages came out, without fail, at least four or five troops would come to formation the next day sporting nice fresh tattoos. Blue stars.
