Poll question: Kid Rock vs. Clay Aikens: You decide
This poll is a result of a thread by our Magic Rat about why we should support Clay Aikens because he contributed to John Kerry.

Rabrrrrrr brought up that Clay is our "Kid Rock" and then I suggested we should see if we could trade Kid Rock for Clay Aikens because personally I think Kid Rock has much better music than Clay Aikens.

So if you had to choose between Kid Rock or Clay Aikens - who would you pick.

There is no other in this category - imagine you're on a deserted island and you've been told you could only listen to either Clay Aikens or Kid Rock for the remainder of your stay. Once you pick a CD the other would be gone forever.

Who would you pick: Kid Rock or Clay Aikens?

4. Insult him? I call him what he is
Sure he can sing, but so can millions of other Americans who probably can't be bothered with such dumb shows like "American Idol" Just because you can sing doesn't mean you should be putting out records.

6. Kid Rock is a Bush Loving, War Mongering, Hateful, Chickenhawk!
According to this peice of "white trash"

Heavy metal rapper Kid Rock told reporters at a Grammy Awards party that: "We got to kill that Saddam. Slit his throat. Kill him and the guy in North Korea."

11. They both suck
Having said that, if I had to listen to one of 'em (God forbid!), it'd have to be Kid Rock. Aiken is just such a weenie. And politics has nothing to do with my vote.

16. Exactly
Just because someone donates to Kerry doesn't mean I have to jump on their bandwagon.

Aikens is doing what millions of other folks across this nation could be doing if they made the effort to try to get on American Idol. In 5 years the thrill of American Idol will wear off and where will the likes of Aikens, Clarkson and the others be? They will have saturated the market and we will become bored with their music.

Believe me, if I wanted to listen to talented pro-Kerry musicians there are plenty out there that I could listen to without any qualms!

12. I'd forego music
what the hell - its only eternity. Clay's choices of tunes suck and his voice is too purty for me. Kid Rock's politics are fucked.

why Willie Nelson spends time with him baffles the shit out of me.

14. John Kerry's first act as President has to be to demolish the....
Grand Ole Opry. Not all Country "Music" is bad, but 80% of them are a bunch of Right Wing, Chickenhawk, Fascists!

17. absolutely NOT
The Grand Ole Opry is rich in history with some very talented musicians including Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr. andy many others.

Unfortunately it's been hijacked by the neo-cons!

20. Kid Rock...
at least his music isn't whiny like Clay's. Clay sounds like a girl when he sings, he sucks, and he's too overplayed on the radio.
