can someone remind me how to capture a screen shot?
I realized that I still have the eBay auction page for the stolen election in a browser window and could capture it if I could remember how to do a screen shot.

puts it in you clipboard

alt+printscreen captures the active window only

paste it into "paint" program and save it
(ctrl-v or edit:paste on the menu)

9. It's in your clipboard memory
Now open a paint or image program and select File --> New, Edit --> Paste (or Ctrl-N, then Ctrl-V).

12. Open Wordpad from your start menu.
Then choose the Paste option. It will appear there.

OR you can have the page open that you want to save, go to File>Save As>try the drop down menu to choose mht file, and then sent it where you want to. Keep a file in your documents.

If it won't save as mht, then choose HTML only. I have most of my old articles, etc, saved that way. It is quicker.

18. Two Steps Process
1) Simultaneously hit the Alt + PrtSc buttons, this captures whatever image is on yourscreen.

2) Paste the image into a graphic editor, like Paint, PhotoShop, etc. and save the image as you would any other graphic.


By only following the first step, you will have no outward indication that any image copying process has occured.

14. make sure the ebay window is all the way to the top
hit Alt+PrtScn, then open wordpad, click inside wordpad and hit Ctrl+v.
