Jennifer Aniston is wearing an MC5 shirt during the "Friends" opening
Has it always been this way? I watched the show the first couple of years, but then got sick of "Is SHE gonna do it with HIM? or is..." I think the show jumped the shark years ago.
But I admit it, I'm watching tonight. (I was outvoted)
Do all of you realize the importance of the MC5? i.e. The Motor City 5? John Sinclair? The White Panthers? They and their music was going to lead the revolution. We were going to kick the establishment out of power, and make the world and country a better place. Ok, it failed. But at least it's nice to know that SOME people have fire in their bellies. Is Jennifer one of us? As if I don't have enough reasons to love her!

1. actually
its "couture" to wear rock shit from the 70's. She may be a fan, but its probably just a fashion statement.

2. ...or maybe wardrobe just found her a cool-looking retro shirt...
...well, they ARE usually the people who dress actors...

3. I can't imagine that they let them choose their clothing
I would think that some wardrobe manager probably choose the clothes.

4. Soundgarden1 nailed it on the head
However, Matt Dillon wearing an Edie Sedgewick tshirt was waaaay cool. Oh, yeah....Kick Out The Jams! For what it's worth, I saw MC5 open for Black Sabbath at the Fillmore in '69. Sadly, they both sucked that evening.

5. I think it was..
a choice made by the wardrobe department, though I'm sure the cast is allowed to give input.

Brad and Jennifer are Liberal. They aren't outspoken political activists like Susan Sarandon, but they've made it known in interviews.

8. Aniston marched in DC recently
at the march for women's lives. She and Pitt are strong environmentalists and make no apologies for being liberals, from what I hear (my cousin is an executive producer in Hollywood who is deeply involved with democratic politics there, so she keeps me on top of who's what).

Courtney Cox wore a tee with a large "?" on the show soon after Nostamj and friends started their "?W" movement-I always wondered if there were any connection there.

9. Jennifer Aniston is a MAJOR liberal and Democrat...
She has attended many fund raisers (including a recent one here in L.A.for Kerry). The word around town is that she's a truly wonderful, caring, and non-pretentious person. Apparently, she's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I've also heard similar things about the other cast members. I happen to have been a hugh Friends fan all of these years as the show has brought me much needed laughter. I think the cast members happen to be very special people.
