Phone polls... damn, I'm such a geek

I got polled tonight regarding, evidently, some ballot measure here in California regarding Ocean ecology. It was a long, in-depth poll, and I'm such a damned geek that I loved it.

Just ask me my opinion on issues and I'm a happy camper.

Qworst being one of the biggest wastes of phone company on the planet, we switched to cells only a couple years ago when we found out we could get a wireless modem. Bye, bye Qworst.

So no one calls me for stuff like that anymore. *sniff*

It's my only regret. The cells and the wireless modem (when paired with laptops) means that we're pretty much power and communications system independent.

I loved polls, though. Especially the nasty, Repug polls, where it was obvious they were trying to tell me the Dem was a kitten killing, baby eating, vegan who hated everything that wasn't murrican.

Fun to tell them that I liked those things.

2. Several years back I was polled

about yeast and bread making, and spent 30 minutes happily telling the unfortunate pollster on the other end all sorts of geeky things about those topics.
