Am I the only DUer who doesn't like cats?
Sorry folks, but I just don't like them. They're quite cute as kittens, but so are most baby mammals. (Something about encouranging protective behaviour in mothers).

Anyway grab your sacks, weights, a random cat & join me at the high bridge over the river.

2. I'm not a big fan.
They're not the most horrible things on the planet, but because of bad experiences with them, they're not at the top of my list. Kittens are okay but not when they get bigger. *shudders* They all have an evil plot against me!

7. You're one of the few.
Cat lovers have to appreciate intelligence and independence. Cats do not obey, do not cooperate, do not submit, and thrive on defeating attempts to get them to do something they've chosen not to, or to keep them from doing something they prefer. They generally are the ones in charge of the relationship. Cat lovers can't need to dominate or control the relationship.

I've had cats my entire life and couldn't imagine not sharing space with them. I love both cats and dogs.

8. Well thats alright.
Indoor cats are useless. Outdoor cats have promise. Indoor cats have stinking litter boxes that defy logic. It must depend on where you live. I do think that dogs are Democrats and cats are Republicans. Consider that cats are lazy do nothings that whine and cost and stink.
The least of dogs will defend your home.

18. HA
You are WRONG... Dogs are the following little republicans. Cats are the independent minded democrats. A dog will still love its master even if it is subjected to severe abuse. A cat will turn on you.

I love dogs too... they're just too high maintenance and needy for me :)

9. I don't like them either...............
beside the fact that I'm allergic to them, I find them sneaky and not at all loyal. Give me a dog any day, they are truly man's best friend.

21. I predict
one day a cat will come out of the blue and take you on, then you'll be a slaving idiot for them just like the rest of us.

See if it doesn't happen just like that.

13. are you wearing asbestos underwear?
You may need it. This is cat territory.
Don't like the little boogers myself, but what people do in the privacy of their homes is no concern of mine. My beef is cats running loose. They are a bio hazard for our native wildlife. It is no longer acceptable to have dogs running free and the same should apply to cats.
The utility of cats as ratters is over-rated. Some are good but many are not and few will tackle an adult Norway rat.Tolerating the presence of some of our larger colubrid snakes(ratsnakes, kingsnakes, gopher snakes)is a great way to curtail rodents.
As animal friends I'll take my goofy dogs any day!

BTW, your sack/bridge comment was over the top.

20. Cats suck
Greedy, aloof, demanding, self-centered, uncaring -- hardly qualities to be admired by those on the political left. Politicians with those attributes are universally loathed here!

Here's an entertaining link for fellow cat-haters.

23. Dogs Suck
Follows anyone anytime anywhere
Humps legs of strangers
Slobbers on the sofa
Can't freaking be trained to poop in the house
Poops in the house anyway
Pees when company comes
Grovels when you discipline them

Politicians with those traits are .... in the WHITE HOUSE

(I don't really think Dogs suck, but cats needed some defense here)

27. I love my dogs...
and I also love my cats.

My heart and my life are big enough to allow more than one type of family member.

I pity those who can't let unconditional love in - regardless what it looks like.
