Poll question: Rate the Friends final episode
As final episodes go--how would you rate friends. Was it in the same league, better, or worse than the finales of "Mary Tyler Moore", "Seinfeld", "Newhart", MASH, and so on?

3. I'm undecided
Because I chose long ago not to kill brain cells by watching that show.

4. As someone who ADORED the "Sex and the City" finale
there was too much SATC ripoff in the friends finale - mainly someone moving to paris, a couple trying to adopt and friends moving out of the neighborhood. That was all done on the SATC final.

But it was a hell of alot better than the Seinfeld finale (which was one of the worst) and I would say even better than the MASH finale (which was ok at best). But compared to Sex and the City - it was horrible

5. Hey, no place to vote 'I didn't watch it.'
But Jon Stewart reported on it on The Daily Show. I'm sure his 'cannibalism' report was more interesting than the actual show.

6. I have to put it toward the top just because it was the last
Thank God! America's collective unconscious will stop be tainted by fevered egos and artless entertainment.

Buh bye "Friends" - buh bye! Don't feel you need to go into syndication. We won't mind. buh bye!!

8. They seemed to take themselves too seriously
With all the talk of finality and all that, and it was totally predictable. I'm not saying something bad should have happened, but something funny, to indicate that they don't take the show so damn seriously. It was ostensibly a comedy.

Seinfeld was kind of guilty of the same thing. I've long thought that ending to Seinfeld would have been great if the plane had just crashed.

Newhart was a great finale. They didn't take themselves seriously. They'd done a nice show, and had some fun with the ending and showed that they realized that it was just a TV show.
