Rob Petrie is a Neil Simon-like playwright living in Katonah, NY. He's on his second marriage, to Valerie the artist in "Draw Me a Pear." Laura, the widow of Jerry Halper, lives in Boca Raton, Florida, avoiding Millie who lives in Century Village in Deerfield Beach, when they enter the same aisle at the Publix. Ritchie choked on his own vomit in some East Village squat. Alan Brady, meanwhile, is a bitter old drunk living in a trailer outside Pheonix.

1. We will be able to see what Rob Petrie is like next week

on the CBS special "The Dick Van Dyke Show" revisited on Tuesday night. I'm looking forward to it since it is my all-time favorite old show, and Carl Reiner and the entire surviving cast are involved.
