I was outside working in the garage and one of the 80's-90's stations played one of his songs. I was surprised... because I kinda figured it would be at least 17 years before I heard him again.

I could be wrong. And anyway, Miami repukes are mostly that way because they are rabid anticommunists and for some reason perceive us to be "soft on communism". The repukes tell them what they want to hear, keep up the embargo, and basically do nothing else for them - so they vote repuke - go figure. They also have a lot of leftover resentment because Kennedy and the Bay of Pigs.

Remember seeing Gloria Estefan and Andy Garcia front and center ? And are people still standing around that house in Little Havana waiting for Elian to come back . Boy was that a news story for ya ...

HATE Bush!

1 is of Cuban descent (his mom is old school), and the other is this feisty little lady who left Cuba when she was young and she thinks the Floridian Cubans are nuts!

I met them both volunteering on the Dean campaign. Both of them are great friends and break any stereotypes you might consider.

There. No cause for depression. Secada sucks anyway.
