And Monday I Have Missed $1,400.00. Not By MUCH Either. :-(

I once got four out of the five numbers on New York's Take Five. The $500 was very nice, but not as nice as the take from all five numbers would have been. That would have paid me $169,000. Still, I'm not complaining.

2. I have some problems with the whole lottery thing....

Sure its ok to play as a form of "entertainment". But when you look at the big picture, it's nothing more than a regressive tax. After all the expenses are paid, probably just small portion of it is used for any good. I do my damndest to avoid playing the lottery but there are just too many people in my family that insist on doing so.

3. It isn't even worth the entertainment.

It is worse than a regressive tax.

Gambling causes more in economic damages than it brings in revenue. Among others, broken families, ruined lives, stealing to support the gambling habit, among others.

I refuse to support the lottery.
