From my exporsure to 12 years of Catholic education, you're right on the nub of the question of Why The World Sucks if God Is Perfect.

There any number of reasons advanced, but I don't remember the mention of Boredom. However, that would seem to be valid reason for creating an imperfect (or at least a chaos driven) mechanism loose and watching it.

Unless of course your conception of god is an old white guy with a beard wearing robes sitting on a cloud and making "miracles" happen like some super-magician. I think a lot of these conceptual problems are inherent in our ideas of "logic" which for the most part are completely incapable of processing cause and effect in any situation other than straight line single factor cases. Why do you thirst for justice? Where have you ever encountered it? It does not exist, yet you use its absence to prove the non-existence of god. Its interesting to me that the human desire for justice is also used as the proof of god's existence.
