What the Rabid Right Believes
Edited on Tue May-11-04 04:10 PM by hyphenate
Gleaned from many postings from right wingnuts, as well as my observations of their general mindset, I created this list to foment in my own mind what they really believe in, and why they are the way they are.

I don't wish to offend anyone who ISN'T a right wingnut, so there is a bit of hyperbole in my list. If you disgree with one of my points, that should pretty much mean it's right on for that very slanted section of the conservative branch with whom we hold both much disagreement in general, and who are truly the "nuts" of the short-sighted reich.

On the other hand, please feel free to contribute your own observations in addition to those I have created here--you must understand that in absolutely NO WAY do I think like this--instead, I still find it difficult to believe that they actually believe this crap themselves, but I've seen enough of it to know I'm not far from the truth in my musings.

What the rabid right believes

They believe that church and state are one and the same, regardless of what some stupid document written in the past says.

They believe that no one owes anyone else a living in the U.S.--that if you're a citizen, you have the same opportunities that everyone else has, regardless of where and when you were born, what color your skin is, what education you've received, and what tragedies you've suffered.

They believe that the rich people in this country have worked very hard to reach their station in life, and why should anyone, especially the government, make them pay taxes on the income they have so carefully earned.

They believe that unless you were born here, your parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents as well, that you are a foreigner and need to be doing only the most menial jobs available in order to acclimate you to the rigors of being an American and prepare you for even attempting to become an American citizen.

They believe that patronizing women, beating their kids, homeschooling them with limited knowledge of many subjects, and keeping other races under the "thumb" and showing superiority to those "niggers," "spics," "chinks," "nips," "towelheads," and many other "inferior" nationalities proves their "white man" superiority over the rest of the world.

They believe women have two functions: give satisfactory sex to their husbands and raise compliant children to carry on the "wisdom" of the greatest "book" in the world.

They believe that "libruls" are pompous and weak, they believe that Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter are prime movers and shakers, and that every word they write or speak is not only true but blessed with wisdom and insight.

They believe that education is already massively over funded, so why are we spending so much money on it, when it is obviously not doing any good.

They believe that Christians founded this nation as a vessel for all that believe in the sacred words of the Bible, that the Apocalypse is just over the horizon, and that we must help Israel prepare for conversion and the eventual Rapture sure to take place in the near future.

They believe that Christian values are exclusively in their domain, and that anyone who questions either their piety, their purpose or their right to be the vehicles of their God's second coming are those who will burn in hell for all eternity.

They believe that 10,000 years ago, their God came upon this place in the universe and said, "Hmmmm...this looks like a good neighborhood for me to create my chosen people," and in 7, 24 hour days, created Earth and the Solar System and took only those few minutes toward the end to create Mankind in his very own image. All the rest since then has been icing on the cake.

They believe that anyone who doesn't believe in their God is wrong, regardless of anything they do, and that over 3/4 of the entire population of Earth is destined for the rubble heaps of Hell because they don't believe in the Christian premises.

I'm sure I've missed quite a few, but as all must be aware, it's a growing list, and since I'm not a Christian, at any rate, I'm all wrong anyhow. :)

1. Rabid rightwingers believe that...
The gay community has an "agenda" by demanding "special rights". The right to marry, which would "destroy the sanctity of marriage" To adopt children, which would be bad because children only thrive in families with a father and mother "as God intended". To proselytize their "lifestyle" by preaching their "homosexual agenda" in schools.

2. Anybody who disagrees with the neo-con agenda
represents a 'special interest' group, and is not a real American (or Canadian etc)

3. They also believe
that Bill clinton is the evilest man on the face of the earth who only does things that suit his pursuit of power.

They believe his wife is also evil and only cares about her pursuit of power.

7. They are of a borg mindset concerning the US...
where if there is something going on by a segment of society that God disapproves of, that the entire US will be punished.
Someone yesterday wrote this much better yesterday. :)
