Poll question: Who are we?
As far as you know, anyway. Let's just say at least one PARENT in any of the catagories. And I will *attempt* to not offend anyone with my catagorizations, but if I do, I apologise in advance. Also, please feel free to point out any glaring omissions, as space was limited.
Happy heritage! :)

I think it'll be cool to see just how diverse DU really is!

8. Latin Americans are hard to categorize.
Decendants of Jewish and Moorish exiles from Spain, converted to and blended with Roman Catholicism, mixed with indiginous peoples, mixed with slaves.

My father is Peruvian and "mestizo" or "cholo", or of traditional Incan indian features. My mother is Cuban and mostly Spanish heritage, though Cubans, in general, can assume some mixing with African slaves in their genetics. True, not as much as Puerto Ricans or Dominicans, but some, just the same.

How do you categorize that?

I know, it's not very scientific. I just wanted to make a poll, and I thought it would be interesting to see just where we all come from. It's my first poll, I promise to do more careful research for all future polls. :)

14. A stew of Euro cultures...
...mostly German and English, but my generation put an end to that. My wife is African-American and an adopted daughter is Laotian. Can't wait to see what my kids add to this mix!
