Kansas tornado video
I jsut saw this really stunning video from yesterday, taken near Wichita Kansas, of a house that gets hit by a tornado.

Pieces of the house fly off, then the roof flies off, then the rest of the house goes to pieces.

WOW!

Anyone know where I can download that video from?

1. You probably found it already but
So far the only place I have found it is on a local news site here.

I'm sure there will be better footage soon. Pretty wild stuff though

2. ughhh.... I'm glad nobody was in the house
After living in Kansas City for 44 years, I'm so glad to be in Texas now, where we don't have stuff like that...... ;-)

3. they can still happen down here
A few years back in Jarrell, north of Austin, an F-5 ripped through town completely destroying it. But for the most part, yes, far enough south to dodge most of that.

6. that was intended to be a joke...
check out the wink ;-) -- sorry for my lame sense of humor.

Although you're right - San Antonio is far enough south that tornadoes aren't near as likely as they are, say, in the panhandle area or near the Texas-Oklahoma border.

I was driving back home from Missouri a couple of weeks ago, and passed through some thunderstorms between Gainesville & Denton TX that were so violent, I thought they were going to blow me right off the road!!

7. missed the wink.. welcome to DU
most of the time I've had enough caffeine to notice stuff like that and I don't look dumb. Welcome to Texas too. Is that Gainesville, MO you are talking about? I grew up just south of there in Mountain Home, AR.

8. no, Gainesville TX
It's a few miles south of the TX/OK border, right on I-35.

When you get a few miles further south, at Denton TX, I-35 splits into I-35W (goes through Ft Worth) and I-35E (goes through Dallas). I-35W & I-35E rejoin several miles south of the DFW area (north of Waco).

9. I remember that.
I know someone at work that lived in Cedar Park and said a finger with a Jarrell HS ring on it landed in his yard.
