Say it ain't so! Ron Santo on the Dennis Miller show?!

Says on mlb.com that Ron Santo just went on Dennis Miller's show to promote "This Old Cub." Ron! How could you? Don't you know what a steaming horse's patoot Miller is?

2. Apparently Miller is "a fan."

Maybe Ronnie used to watch Miller back in the 1980s when he was funny sometimes.

And then of course "This Old Cub" is not gonna get the same kind of media treatment that you'd get for, like, "Charlie's Angels VI."

So forgive the guy. He's given so much to baseball and to JDRF that you really ought to let Ronnie slide on this one.

There is no kinder, gentler human being than Ron Santo.

And I just love listening to him and Pat Hughes do the Cub's games on WGN radio. I swear, if you're ever feeling down, tune in Pat and Ronnie. Those guys are a gas.

of hard times in his life ,i doubt miller is the worst thing he`s ever faced. i doubt miller will be a creep while ron`s on...

I have no idea about his politics. But he is such a nice guy.

Ten or twelve years ago he appeared on Milt Rosenburg's show with Jay Lewenburg (then a Bears offensive lineman) and some diabetes doctors. He just wanted to tell all the kids (and their parents) that just because their kids may have diabetes, they can be active and can play sports. It was very inspiring.

There are guys who may explain the intricacies of the game better, but for my money there is nothing I would rather listen to on the radio than the Cubs game. It puts a smile on my face.

7. I'm not tryin' to diss Ron

I love Pat and Ron; I have become addicted to their color commentary. Seriously, I think the main reason I got hooked on following the Cubs is that warm fuzzy feeling you get listening to Ron get all happy when they finally win the game. That was why I was surprised to see him mentioned in the same breath as Dennis "Zipperhead" Miller. But I know he's got a movie to promote, and I don't hold it against him. It was just one of those :wtf: moments.
