What are the WORST/MOST FORGETTABLE MOMENTS in sports history?

I'll pick just 2 for now:

I think Shaq is an awesome basketball player, but for me, I would have to say that some of the worst moments in sports (or sports related stuff) were...

-Shaq trying to act... over and over and over... not realizing that he can't act...

Honorable Mention- Shaq tries to rap.

Stick to playing ball... that's what you are good at...

it's an embarrassment to the sport every time he steps on the free throw line.

The worst moment in sports history is when Dale Earnhardt got killed during the 2001 Daytona 500.

The most forgettable moment is just about any Super Bowl.

Cubs playoffs...eager fan...loss of momentum...having heavy police protection in Northfield weeks afterwards....

...after I paid 800 bucks for a ticket....

At you were at that game and the money that you spent. Hey, you saw a game that will forever be a part of baseball history.

But I'm 50, happend to have the money and be in town and have been a Cub's fan since I was 12.

Looosing hurts; It shouldn't have happened the way it did to perpuate yet another curse on the Cub tradition.

It sucks, I saw it and I don't want to remember "that" part of Baseball History.

Soccer games that end 0 - 0. Boy, what ws the point of that?

The WFL (I actually went to a WFL game - At least it was more entertaining than the XFL and even lasted longer).

Scoring doesn't make the sport good.

Worst? Bobby Riggs Vs. Billy jean King.

That was overhyped farce at it's worst.

Most unforgettable?

I'll never forget that ski jumper's wipeout.

Wasn't that the name of the boxer who was beaten to death in the ring as the referee looked on. If I remember correctly, (that was a looonnnggg time ago), that debacle was the beginning of the end of regularly televised boxing.

He didn't actually die in the ring but was brain dead and really died only later without regaining consciousness. It was horrible.

there is nothing that even comes close.

second worst moment...the sept collapse of the philadelphia phillies in 1964... 10 games to go, up 6 1/2 games, lose the pennant after losing 8 of last ten games.

That fight is somewhat obscure, when Jones was a 19 year old amateur and virtually unknown. He had nowhere near the buildup of Sugar Ray Leonard heading into Montreal in '76, for example.

If more people knew about that fight, it would be a near unanimous choice in threads like this. I have it on tape and watch it whenever I need an overpowering laugh. It is literally like handing the Wimbledon championship to someone who just got beat 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 in the final.

I'm a Roy Jones Jr. fan who attended the fight tonight and am still a bit stunned. He had clearly slipped at 35, but I never expected a decisive KO, even to someone like Tarver with style, skills and physique that would always give Jones fits.

Taking that rematch made no sense. And it tarnishes Jones' career since he had never been beaten in the ring before tonight.
