Theme Songs - what would yours be?
What song would play in the background if you were to have a theme song. For me, probably Imagine by John Lennon. I am quite the optimist :)

2. That song needs to die
no song should be played that many times. It just plain wrong.

"Rhiannon," by Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. What would be more appropriate and it is still a real favorite of mine.

11. Last week, I heard a new Sheryl Crow one that's pretty accurate
It's always evolving, my theme song I tell ya.

(Sorry to those who hate lyrics, but......) :D

Home

I woke up this morning
Now I understand
What it means to give your live
To just one man
Afraid of feeling nothing
No bees or butterflies
My head is full of voices
And my house is full of lies

This is home, home
And this is home, home
This is home

I found you standing there
When I was seventeen
Now I'm thirty-two
And I can't remember what I'd seen in you
I made a promise
Said it everyday
Now I'm reading romance novels
And dreaming of yesterday

Chorus

I'd like to see the Riviera
And slowdance underneath the stars
I'd like to watch the sun come up
In a stranger arms

Chorus

I'm going crazy
A little everyday
And everything I wanted
Is now driving me away
I woke this morning
To the sound of breaking hearts
Mine is full of questions
And it's tearing yours apart...

13. Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime - or Syeeda's Song Flute
Edited on Tue May-18-04 07:30 AM by new_beawr
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful
Wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Water dissolving...and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Carry the water at the bottom of the ocean
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

The Garden Song --Dave Mallett

Scream -- Young Dubliners

I'd have to think a lot more before I decided on just one!

16. I've Had It - by Aimee Mann
Edited on Tue May-18-04 09:04 AM by MissMillie
We made it down to New York
with everything intact
but as for getting back -
it was Boo who made the joke,
they don't give you any hope
but they'll give you plenty of rope
And Dan came in from Jersey
he went to get the drums
and if Buddy ever comes
we can get it off the ground
I hope someone's coming down
'else I can't see hanging around

Oh, experience is cheap
if that's the company you keep
and a chance is all that I need
and I've had it
I've had it

So we all just started playing
and then something strange occured -
not a person stirred
oh, it started out one way
but it turned out to be okay
and I felt that someone should say -

Oh, experience is cheap
if that's the company you keep
and before you know that it's free
you've had it

Like most amazing things
It's easy to miss and easy to mistake
For when things are really great
It just means everything's in its place

When everything was over
and we loaded up the van
I turned and said to Dan,
Dan, I guess this is our prime
like they tell us all the time
weren't you expecting some other kind?

Oh, experience is cheap
if that's the company you keep
but I'll never get that disease
'cause I've had it

17. I am confuzzled.
I couldn't figure whether you were looking for what we would LIKE the theme to be, or what it would be if we had no control over it.

I would LIKE it to be Darth Vader's Theme, but it would probably end up being something like "Buddy, Can You Spare a Dime?"

24. Mary Tyler Moore theme song "Love is All Around"
Who can turn the world on with her smile?
Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you girl, and you should know it
With each glance and every little movement you show it

Love is all around, no need to waste it
You can have the town, why don't you take it
You're gonna make it after all
You're gonna make it after all

and then I throw my hat in the air and spin around

Not sure what I can cite from a copyrighted song, so I'll just suggest you look up the words or try to hear the music from the Broadway show (not the film). It's funny and is all about the title.
