ABC announces spinoff of "The Practice" - very anti-Bush series.

I don't know if any of you caught the last few episodes of "the Practice" from the end of the season. They were classics:

In one episode, the James Spader and William Shatner characters go out skeet shooting.

Shatner says that he thinks of his enemy to properly pscyhe himself up to hit the target. They release the skeet targets and he yells "Osama!", and nails a target. Another one: "Saddam!" nails another target. Then he tells Spader, "You try:"

Another target gets sent up and Spader yells "Mother!" and misses the target. Shatner gives him a funny look, and Spader says, "I was only trying to scare her."

The new "Practice" will keep Spader and Shatner and add other characters previewed the past year.

That last episode of the year took many swipes at W, Including No WMD's, the prison torture, etc.

Spader's character is one of the funniest I have seen on TV.

Shatner plays a pro-Bush aging lawyer who fades in and out of lucidity (he may have the beginning of Alzheimers) and who announces out of the blue at the most ludicrous times his name: "Denny Crane", leaving those in his company to shrug.

Trust me, this show kept me watching it in Sunday night at 10, and "Deadwood" (which is on at the same time) during the week.

I love it lately! What an antihero!

I saw that very episode and completely lost it when he said, "I was just trying to scare her."

Other than "This Old House" and the British Comedies on PBS.

Well, David Kelley & Michelle Pfeiffer are both Dems -- I hope he gets some spice in this new series -- some his stuff got kinda dull since the early Ally days, but I haven't seen the recent Practice episodes. Hopefully he won't shy away from some edgy political stuff in this new series - depends on how far ABC will let him go with it...

Pfeiffer is amazing, but she doesn't do too many movies these days.
