I just lost the only "metal" music station in Dallas.
Clear Channel just took of www.kegl.com and replaced it with some crappola music. I'm 36 and love all sorts of music but I still mostly listen to metal. And don't tell me to grow up! I like most of my music loud, fast and agressive. It helps me vent frustration from living in freeper lovin' area okay.

Funny thing is that the classic rock station which plays rock that I grew up with including some metal from the 80's is doing fine. I guess this metal station just targeted the wrong demographic. Perhaps they should have targeted more of us older metal guys with a bit more money and a desire to actually purchase music instead of downloading everything. Oh well, internet metal radio, here I come.

BTW, I just purchased the lastest Porcupine Tree album and it rocks!!!!!!!!

1. Not a metal listener, but a Dallasite
and it's a shame how most of our great stations were taken over by Clearchannel - Tom Hicks in drag - and changed into some ADD inducing coma music spewers.

2. Really?
The Eagle's gone? WTF? I used to live in Dallas and that was one of the best stations! Clear channel sucks!

3. Sounds like 102 is still around. How about KVIL?
I remember listening to KVIL when I was in elementary school - i think its the oldest f.m. station still around.

That is if its still around.

7. KVIL is still around but not my kind of music
102 does have some good music but no metal. Where am I supposed to get my Godsmack, Pantera, Metallica, Tool, STP, Drowning Pool, Korn, etc..fix? Actually I would love a progressive rock station to take its place that also plays mainstream metal.
