Do you get manicures?
Abdul's thumbs-down to salon

Paula Abdul is set to sue over a botched manicure that she claims almost cost her her thumb.

The sexy "American Idol" judge told "Celebrity Justice" that she's readying a lawsuit against an upscale Studio City, Calif., salon for substantial medical bills and extreme, ongoing pain. Abdul said she cried out in pain when a manicurist allegedly poked her in the thumb, and afterward sucked her thumb and tasted blood.

After surgery last month to remove her entire thumbnail, she appeared on "American Idol" with her arm in a sling - and said she couldn't button her pants.

"We deny any allegations that she may be making - but that's all we can say," Chinoiserie manager Chris Tyler told the Daily News.

2. No.
I just don't have the patience. And long fingernails get in my way. I trim them with nail cutters. And clean underneath the nails once a day. That's it.

5. I do.
I tend to have fake tips on most of the time because I have that really annoying habbit of biting my own nails. But, whenever I get them done, I always go to the same place (to a lady I trust very well) and always make sure all of her instruments are sterile before she even THINKS about touching me with them.

6. I Do My Own
I am very vain about my long, curving, natural nails. I am a better manicurist than most in salons, and since I'm diabetic, it's a very very bad idea for me to have them done in a shop. I don't doubt at all that Paula Abdul was seriously injured by a manicurist; the kind of accident described is exactly why I and all diabetics are to avoid nail salons.

I keep my fingernails natural and short to medium. My toes usually with a little polish, but having it on fingernails is too high maintenance for my tastes.
Ironically too, I have seen many women who, excuse me for offending anyone, but may have features such as facial hair they don't groom, yet they have these claw-like apparati on their fingers? I can't begin to understand what goes into the thought process there of how they evaluate what makes themselves look attractive. Besides, why would I want to risk some fungus or bacterial thing? Sorry.

I do get the occasional pedicure during the summer, though. I never paint my fingernails, but I always have toenail polish on.
