Idol: Did Fantasia sing tonight?
It is on for an hour, and I really don't want to watch it unless she sings! She was great last night, and even sang one of my all time favorite songs, Fool in Love!! :D :D

3. Is That What She Does?
Edited on Wed May-19-04 11:47 PM by REP
I heard American Idol for the first time while doing my laundry a few weeks ago; it sounded as though it was the "who can spout the most cliches" part of the competition until I heard her attempt "Summertime." Ouch! She is absolutely tone deaf and off-key. If she's one of the keepers, how bad did the others blow?

4. When she did Fool in Love
I thought she was channeling Dinah Washington. She really is gifted if you ask me.

5. I really want to like Fantasia
but her voice is so nasal, it's almost screechy. Dinah Washington was easy on the ears, much smoother and less vibrato.
