People and letters are all over the place, have they driven themselves to the bottle?

1. I've been getting into the bottle tonight...
as well as the cans.

Right now, I'm listening to "Everybody Hurts" by REM...it's gotten that bad.

18. we need to be sitting side by side, arms interwoven
and staggering down the road, trying not to pour our liquor bottles down each other's necks. that would be a waste.

12. Ayup....
I didn't realize it at the time, but I did a good thing in choosing my apartment complex. Within walking distance are a small grocery store, a Taco Hell, a medical clinic, and a liquor store.

Now if I could find a job that allowed me to work from my home, I could be fat, drunk, and happy 24/7 and never buy gas again.

15. Dude, telecommute
and if your boss insists on IMing you, get a windows clipboard capable of spewing out various canned responses

"A great day it is sir, I'm busy working on the next assignment as my productive ways and excellent work ethic have rocketed me through the last dozen or so tasks" *hic*

14. no bottle, just the tops
the gov speaks in abstractions when it says, "we're fighting for democracy." or when they say, "operation this and that." you can't fight for a "word," as we all know, but it sounds better than saying, "we're going to iraq to kill people and occupy the land."

this link is an interview with a marine who was part of the invasion and occupation. it gives a much more clear picture of what actually happens in war.

http://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=18730

this is the sort of reality that the government doesn't want anybody to know about. for if stories like this filled the network news, the war would end very quickly, and that's not good for business. it's much better for the economy if we stick to stories about young women being rescued and courageous football players who trade their lives for god and country.
