Is Gihei a male of female name?

I deal with someone from Japan I've never met named Gihei, and I don't know whether to call the person Ms. or Mr.

Any ideas?

unless it's the Japanese pronunciation of a Korean or Chinese name being used by a person of either of those ethnicities living in Japan.

There are some unisex names in Japan (Kaoru, Nao, and Jun are three such names), but I don't think Gihei is one of them.

It's pronounced "Ghee-HAY."
