Just a little gossip to pass on. A friend of a friend told me that a couple who are good friends (wealthy, well-heeled) were out to dinner at a local Austin, Tx. restaurant where Barbara Bush was dining with friends.
It was a little cramped due to all the secret service personnel, but they observed that as Barb's dinner progressed so did her drinking (wine). The couple said they were shocked and a bit repulsed by how much she put away and how drunk she got. Toward the end of their evening Barbara even started drinking the wine on the table that was left by her guests who had already left the restaurant. I don't know if this is typical or unusual behavior....but there must be a LOT to drown out.

after all, her husband was cheating on her during her entire marriage. And what did she do with her life? Nothing! She is a mean cold bitter bitch. You know, I really feel sorry for Barbara Bush.

Older or younger? I suspect the grandaughter - Babs senior doesn't have any friends to go out to dinner with.

Now we know where tha alky gene comes from. A friend of mine in AA said he read that if one of your parents has a problem with it - your chances are %50 percent at risk - if BOTH have it - then you are up in the 90's.

Seems like both the girls have a problem - what do we know about Laura's habits in this regard??
