A non-Bush/non-Iraq Frontline this coming week
One might wonder"Why the hell is he pumping PBS "Frontline" in the DU lounge?" Well it's not about Bush, the Iraq occupation, or 9/11.

This one is about the music industry. Entitled "The Day the Music Died". You'd be right if you were thinking about the Don MaClean classic song. It's rather appropriate if you think about it.

Most of us know why the music industry sucks but at least there is somebody putting it on film.

I live in Maine. A few weeks ago a new radio station debuted out of Portland, WFNK, or "Frank" as it is referred. I was thrilled they played the more classic rock, older stuff that I like. Lots of Zepplin. I was psyched! That was just a few weeks ago and already it seems like the station is just running on music loop playing over, over, and over again. "Didn't I just hear that song?". Go to some other station and they've got that grating new Jessica Simpson song on three times an hour. Go over to another and it's Country-Western.
If I hear Clay Aiken or Toby Keith one more time I am going to have a stroke. The last CD I bought was a soundtrack-"Brother Where Art Thou" and that wasn't long after the movie came out. I am also sick of Josh Brogan!

I think I am getting off message here. Check out 'Frontline'.
